Lesson Summary: By the end of this lesson, students should be familiar with Dahry which is an acronym for domain, asymptotes, holes, roots, and y-intercept. One should know to use the original function to find the Domain and use the simplified function for the rest of the properties. Furthermore, to find the domain set the original function not eqaul to zero, horizontal asymptote use limits to infinity, vertical asymptote set the denominator equal to zero, oblique asymptote use synthetic or long division (only when numerator is one more degree), find holes by finding the common factor if any, roots by setting the numerator equal to zero, and finally, the y-intercept by setting x equal to zero and plugging it into the simplified equation.
