Key Concept
After the lesson students should understand how to
-
Graph Trig Parent functions and write down the properties of six parent trig functions such as: Domain, Range, Symmetry, Y-intercept, x-intercept, and at what x value does the function have max and min value.
-
Use sinusoidal functions to solve problems.

Examples of Work:

What is a sinusoidal function?
A sinusoidal function is a function that is like a sine function in the sense that the function can be produced by shifting, stretching, or compressing the sine function.
Lesson Summary: By the end of this lesson students need to understand how the transformed form of cosine and sine functions are used in conjunction to find the properties of sine and cosine functions while also enabling one to graph the functions easily when given the properties. Furthermore, one should have a profound understanding of sinusoidal functions and be able to distinguish and graph the trig parent functions and find their six properties.
