Lesson Summary: Students should understand basic algebraic techniques of when to isolate and when to set equations equal to zero for linear, power to power, and quadratic functions. Furthermore, students should understand the four basic steps to solving trigonometric equations which are to decide the pattern, find the reference angle, finding the period, and ultimately using the general form to find solutions. Furthermore, students should understand how to use the domain and period to determine the number of solutions, and finally, understand how to use th calculator to solve trigonometric equations.
