Lesson Summary:By the end of this lesson, one should be able to find the leading term of polynomial functions to inevitably determine its end behavior. One should know that when a linear factor has an odd power, switch the sign, and when a linear factor has an even power, keep the same sign when graphing polynomials using sign diagrams. To make a sign diagram, plot the zeros and then find a special number (usually 0 or 1) and plug it into the polynomial equation to determine if it is draw line positive or negative. Then, one should graph (if positive draw line above the number line and if negative draw below the number line).
